As Londoners, we all want to take our dogs wherever we go, especially restaurants. Most cafes and restaurants are not welcoming our furry friends. Therefore, we live with the guilt of leaving our pup at home while we are out to dine.
That’s why we’ve put together a list of the best places in Chelsea you and your real best mate can go. Because they’d feed us a slice of bacon under the table if the roles were reversed, wouldn’t they?

Egerton House Hotel
Afternoon tea is a classic British tradition — and at The Egerton House Hotel, doggies are more than welcome. Upon arrival, dogs are greeted with a warm reception and have a tasty menu specially designed for them. Doggy Afternoon Tea is served in the same style as a traditional high tea and has three courses — meatloaf, biscuits and ice-cream to finish.
The Egerton House Hotel is located in Knightsbridge, a short walk from Harrods and the afternoon tea was commended by the Afternoon Tea Awards 2017, and is served in the elegant drawing room that feels like you’re in movie. The food caters for everyone (not just dogs), with afternoon tea for vegetarians, vegans and those with a gluten intolerance.The Egerton offers a unique afternoon tea experience in their Drawing Room as pooches can munch on treats such as homemade dog biscuits, chicken and beef meatloaf and to finish, dog ice cream. They even get a special chew toy to take home! We bet their tails will be wagging all the way through this unique experience.

Colbert
Do you own a French poodle? Or do you have a suspicion that when your pup does that twitchy run thing in their sleep that they’re dreaming of legging it through the Luxembourg Gardens wearing a tiny beret? Perfect, it’s time for you and your chien to head for Chelsea’s Colbert. This all-day brasserie serves classic French fare like steak tartare, onion soup, and fresh macarons. Plus, in true Parisian cafe style there’s also some pretty lovely outdoor, terrace seating. Overall it’s a great local restaurant, buzzing from breakfast to midnight, love it. Dogs are welcome to join in the bar, where there are a number of booths in which to settle in for a meal, in addition to the standing area with stools encircling the bar itself. There are also tables for two all year round outside the front of Colbert. A popular paw-spot, it’s worth coming early to get one of these tables with your pup.Highly recommending to stop by if you decide to stroll by Sloane Square.

Bluebird Chelsea
Possibly one of London’s most Instagrammed venues, Bluebird Cafe in Chelsea is all kinds of picturesque. Semi al fresco, during the summer it’s a flower-filled, outdoor cafe, while in the colder months it transforms into a cosy, winter terrace. It’s a place to see and be seen, and Londonist’s Ruth Hargreaves recommends doing that over breakfast when Bluebird’s food is at its best. Perfect for pooches looking to boost their social media following.

Ben’s Canteen
Ben’s Canteen is a mini-chain more or less had a mandate to be cool from the word go — but it also manages to be a laid-back, welcoming hangout whose Aussie vibe and expansive menu fit the bill for every time of day, from breakfast to one-for-the-road cocktails. Brunch is a strong point, with a trio of celebrated burgers (try the buttermilk chicken version) competing in the calorie stakes with the likes of pulled pork and poached eggs slathered with hollandaise sauce, plus Down Under drinks that range from a tongue-in-cheek glass of ice-cold Berocca, to rum-heavy iced coffee. The over-indulgence continues into lunch and dinner via ‘mac’n’ cheese, peanut butter-laced milkshakes and yet more burgers — all of which come with pairing suggestions from the dynamic global wine list. They are incredibly friendly with dogs in all sizes!

The Locals
Located in Chelsea, The Locals is a healthy-eating inspired hangout.Independent coffee shop and restaurant open seven days a week for all day breakfast, lunch and dinners.Open daily from 7am till 9pm, Sunday from 8am till 7pm — Artisan coffee & pastry including gluten free and vegan.
The bar serves artisan coffees and lattes. It’s stacked full of gorgeous gluten free and vegan pastry options.There are plants adorning the centre shelving unit offering free magazines and newspapers to read while you enjoy your breakfast.The staff is really friendly with dogs and they always bring bowl with water and give a warm smile. Even the restaurant owner brings her adorable Pomeranian time to time!

Farm Girl
Stylish venue for health-conscious, Australia-themed dishes and upscale coffees. Farm Girl is known for having some of the best lattes in London (and the most colorful), offering eight different specialty concoctions. Rose latte, was made with rose water infused almond milk and garnished with petals.
Their Liquid Gold Latte, for example, is made with turmeric, astragalus, ginger root, ground nutmeg and honey. Some, even come topped with a French Bulldog face stenciled from cinnamon, an ode to the owners’ dogs, Bronte and Bear.
All day items include egg dishes, avocado toast, acai and pitaya bowls, berry pancakes and beyond. After 11 a.m., more lunch-focused options, such as salads and sandwiches, are offered as well. Whenever we visit, there’s always dogs in this café and the staff is always so friendly with the pups!

The Phene
Tucked away in a leafy enclave just a short walk from the King’s Road, you’ll find our iconic Chelsea pub, The Phene. With a heritage stretching back to 1853, this imposing three-floor clubhouse-style venue is renowned in SW3 for its cosy bars, wonderful entertaining spaces and charming garden — a twinkling oasis of calm that is as welcoming in the winter as it is charming in the summer.
Drop by for a drink in the saloon bar or linger over dinner in our delightful Conservatory restaurant — we serve quality food with a range of delicious options for vegans, vegetarians and coeliacs.

Wulf & Lamb
Wulf and Lamb is a very upmarket establishment in a trendy street off Sloane Square in Chelsea. Nowhere does it scream ‘meat is murder’, but it seems to be doing a great job at steering people away from the dark side with its succulent vegan burgers, brioche buns and gorgeous cakes.
The restaurant could be described as upscale 100% vegan creative food. It is quite busy in the weekends for brunch and lunch but on the weekdays, it is not that busy. They are super dog friendly and we highly recommend you to visit with your pup!

Raw press
Raw Press is London’s first cold-pressed juice cafe, a premium highstreets concept for the health-conscious consumer.The Chelsea located café offers signature juice and wellness drinks range, we boast a constantly revolving menu of nutritious food, with a selection of 4 or 5 daily plant-based and gluten-free salads, a daily soup, as well as hot options like courgette lasagne or kitchari. All of their products are plant-based. For breakfast, they offer açai bowls, a superfood breakfast buffet, avocado on toast, buckwheat waffles and much more! If you’re want to spend time with your dog outside but watch your diet at the same time, this might be the ideal spot for you!

Tapas Brindisa Battersea
As well as wrangling the queues for its magnificent chorizo sandwiches on Borough Market and selling a range of stellar food and drink in its shops, Brindisa also finds time to run a switched-on group of tapas bars. This Spanish importer’s restaurant arm began in Borough in 2004, and each outlet follows the original blueprint, with menus structured around a splendid range of cured meats, Spanish cheeses and classic tapas (croquetas, Gordal olives stuffed with orange, and so on). There are also various small plates — perhaps gazpacho, grilled octopus with mash and paprika, pluma ibérica with fresh figs and pomegranate. Just add a nifty choice of sherries by the glass and a very reasonable all-Spanish wine list for to complete this authentic tapas experience. As PawsApp we had a collaboration with them and prepared a “doggy treat box”, we highly recommend you to visit with your pup. Dogs get treated like a family member in this Spanish Tapas chain.
